Leave nato and isolate Europe. If individual countries still want to be partners they need to leave EU. Problem solved.

Agreed. They need us more than we need them.

Greenland belongs to its people, so it is up to Denmark and Greenland, and only them, to decide on matters that concern Denmark and Greenland

Thats fine. Just let them know how much better their futures will be when you switch out Denmark for the US of A. Territory status is all we care about.

Denmark don't care about them, until we start talking about them. Then they forget about them, until we bring them back up. This ain't new. Let's just get it done.

Ohhhh and remind them we pay natos bills, so anything that is promised by them is determined by us anyone.

We are losing that argument right now. That’s really the key. We have coordinated regime change all over the world but have done a woeful job swaying public opinion in Greenland.

With the direction they are going this is the only option. We need to be proactive and only potential way to save Europe from itself. We can't be "allies" with a non-Western Europe

Hopefully Vance can get it back on track while he's there today.

The way that Trump and this administration treats Americans is the worst advertisement for any other nation wanting to become part of America. The last thing that Greenlanders want is to be harassed and shot on the street my armed, masked federal agents, be tariff taxed to death, and be unable to afford basic medical care. Who would want to join the USA under Trumps America?

For anyone who might be tempted to hand-wring over this, DJT is talking about "acquiring" Greenland because this works as leverage and signaling even though formal annexation is pretty much unrealistic and not going to happen.

He is basically signaling to Russia and China that the Arctic matters to the U.S. This is going to pressure Denmark (and most of northern Europe) to accept more U.S. military access and investment.

This is very much Trump’s negotiation style where he starts with an extreme position to reset talks and gets focus from his targets. Very intelligent if you think about it.

Of course, it works well well in America and if you think about it, there's no downside since it doesn't require any kind of a vote or even a treaty. If Dem's don't like it, tough shite. There's not anything they can do about it here.

I would bet anything that if a Dem gets in office over the next 10-15 years, they will be secretly hoping to accomplish the same thing but won't mention a word about it. They are completely disingenuous. We all know that hopefully by now.

Anyways, Trump is looking out for America and to some extent, the rest of the so-called "free world".

And, yet, if we weren’t enforcing our borders, people from every corner of the Earth would be piling in here by the tens of millions.
