After listening to a podcast with Verge saying:
We have young men in that building who was offered NIL packages to go other places. And they took close to zero or nothing to come here. They knew what LSU would do for you.
You know, the quarterback who signed, he had a lot of options. They could go anywhere in the country. But they know what LSU could do for you.

Yeah... that's not Seaton. He's going out to the highest bidder and I can't blame him.

Did not mean Seaton would take less, but that they may have some money to have competitive bids with others.

Oh gotcha yeah.. think I'd rather get Thompkons, Harper and a Delane rather than spending 3.5m on 1 player, but hell the way they have ran this thing why not both

Definitely agree with you there especially for a kid that is chasing a bag (good for him if he can get it) and only has 1 year left. At least the 5m+ for Leavitt is for more than 1 year (I believe), if he doesn't enter portal after this year.
Let me be clear I do know he will be a junior but there is a chance he is the top OT in the draft next year.
Then again that could be the same for Leavitt.

Yeah I'm sure some of the low end 0 or 3 star guys took nothing. Question is, are they still taking an equal amount of the football pie? If so, they actually are still getting paid very well.

If u look across football and evaluate championship level teams. The common denominator among most rosters is solid HC and QB. And a stud LT. This is why seaton will get top dollar. Tackle position as we saw first hand will handcuff the most talented rosters

Yeah, would have to think rev share softens the low/no NIL blow

Not sure if a depth piece is going to move the needle on taking the bast OT in America one way or the other.

I've heard Sean Thompkins had pretty bad PFF grades this year. Moscona said it so who knows.
Hope he's worth whatever we pay.

Yeah, that poster's Thompkins commit is confusing. He HAS committed to N Carolina several days ago but never signed. He is visiting LSU but no evidence he has committed or signed with LSU. I guess today will tell something.

National guys say Oregon/Texas for Seaton right now as Tier 1 offers. LSU is in the discussion but they tier 2. Sounds like he wants crazy money.

Seaton is headed to Texas for a visit!

I'm convinced Brett has sources, but I'm also convinced he has ADHD. He's a stream of consciousness poster.
