Leake County, MS
Temp in mid-20’s
,270 Winchester
Shooting house on our main road looking for chasers

A cull 6 and a big boy 8/9 point are the targets, though Cuz has requested some meat so the cowhorn unicorn might be in trouble if he shows up again. So many mamas still with their babies, one almost looks newborn.

Good luck and be safe guys!

Buck hunt (14” spread minimum)
Greensburg, LA
32 degrees, clear skies with 4 mph south wind
AR 5.56 with 77 gr razor cores.

Food plot with feeder. Sitting on turkey chair on opposite side of plot nestled about a yard inside the pines because of wrong wind. Someone missed a good buck from the stand Tuesday morning. I hope he comes back this morning and gives me a chance. Good luck to all out today!

37° south wind
35 whelen

In my saddle, high up in a cypress tree, overlooking some nasty swamp bottom that actually has some water in it. Took me forever to get in here and find a tree, but I have a lot of confidence in this spot. I hunted a few hundred yards away on a ridge yesterday, and saw 2 little 8pts. I feel like this swampy stuff is where the mature bucks are though.
Didn’t have anything go wrong this morning, for a change. So that’s nice.
Good luck!

In the office until the evening hunt. Last weekend for rifle hunting for us. Wife says we need more ground meat, so might be cull hunting if it comes to it.

Hunted backyard this am before office work. Saw 2 spikes a doe and a coyote 2 mins behind one of the spikes. When the last spike approached the food plot that the doe was in, he started giving quick locator grunts. She ran off immediately from his grunting. He fed for maybe 1 min then quietly slipped away following her. Was he warning of the coyote?

Bother you and I both.

I have a good buck on camera. He did it pretty yesterday afternoon for the camera. Hoping he does it again in person for me today

Had a few specklebellies come in and eat 3&1/2s, smile, and give us the bird as they flew away.
Two of them have to be hurting or dead now, but didn’t fall

Headed up to the sip now to see if I can get a deer for the freezer

Beretta A400, full choke with 000 buckshot

Turkey chair in a drainage deep in 20+ year old planted pines. I can see about 30 yards around me, but if he travels this bottom before dark, he’s mine. Glad someone else is cooking at the camp this evening, we’re having white beans with pork grillades from a 40 pounder he got this morning under a feeder. Can’t wait!

Box stand on a power line

Haven’t had anyone hunt this stand all year but we put a camera out and had lots of deer on it, plus some nice bucks during the day. This south wind is perfect for it. Had to climb through spider webs to get in here

Been getting does on cameras at the feeders. Plenty of fresh rubs and scrapes around so the bucks are here, just camera shy. Chose a ladder stand a 100 or so yards from the feeder hoping to catch a cruising buck. Put out some Tinks 69 in a few mock scrapes. Never used it before. Season is almost over so figured why not. Good luck baws!
