I have a 12g in a 686 onyx.

It fits me perfectly and points very easily. They’re great guns.

Is probably a pretty nice gun, however I really like my Browning Citori 12ga…

I'm a browning guy and always have been but that beretta was much lighter and seemed better for the field as bad as I hate to admit it

Good friend of mine has one. Very smooth shooting gun. Wish I could afford one.

Can’t go wrong with the 680 series action.

Great gun, just make sure it fits you. I had a 20 ga onyx that didn't fit me well, not the guns fault. Browning ou fit me better

I have one and I do not love it. Just cannot get comfortable with it. I shoot my Benelli Supernova far better on five stand or sporting course. Same with my crappy old Zolli o/u from the pawn shop. I think the stock drop is excessive but I'm not smart enough to self-diagnose.

If possible shoot some friends guns or demos.

The comment above on fit is spot on. The Beretta is a fine gun. But it either fits or it doesn't. I was close to buying one a couple of years ago. I went with the more boring choice of an auto instead because nothing fits me unless I can drop the stock with a shim.

They are great guns, buddy of mine has had one for years I shot it a few times and swore I was gonna get one day. Started shooting some sporting clays and ended up getting a browning cynergy instead.
A beretta is still on my list of guns I will have one day!!

I’ve had one since 2020. It’s a great gun but I just don’t shoot well with it. Now it may be due to the type of hunting I do, but my hit rate is higher with my semi auto 20.
