Eventually they will have to just let go especially if other school will pay the buyout. Do u really want kids there that don’t want to be there? How would that look to future recruits and transfers if u try to hold kids ransom over their decisions?

How bad does that look to prospective kids? Refuse to let a kid leave that doesn't want to be there? Not a good look.

This is why Ole Miss beating Georgia was kind of aggravating. They pressured these kids to sign contracts riding that emotion. This is a different scenario than with Demond. No doubt Umanmielen will be a a Tiger

I do wonder how this works mechanically, because the NCAA says they have to enter his name within 48 business hours. But the portal closes in 4 hours.

Yes and walk on at LSU, saw this last year with Xavier Lucas from Wiconsin to Miami.

That’s a good question as well. Does the intent to enter count, or is it when the school puts you in the portal? I’ll just bet that this plan gets spoiled. I gotta protect myself.
