Against a better pass defense. I believe going into that game Clemson was first in pass defense giving up under 151 passing yards per game. That Clemson defense had only given up 9 passing TDs all season. They were the number 1 scoring defense in the NCAA. Burrow put up 42, knelt on the 5 with 5 TDs.

Compare also Burrow v Top 10 teams that year. His stats were unreal, and he was the only Heisman winner I can remember that did not pad his stats against lesser competition. His stats were better v the best competition.

Burreaux should never be compared to the synergy cyborg. 2019 LSU team was something special. 2025 Indiana isn't anything but a 16-0 team that will probably be forgotten in the years to come. Only being brought up on jeopardy in question form of who was the first 16-0 team in college football?
