"A 5-year-old boy who died from apparent starvation in Ascension Parish, weighing only 19 pounds at the time of his death."
No punishment is severe enough for this

No, but being fed to a pack of lions is a start.

That picture is disturbing
I guess I’m naive & overly blessed, when I was in an apartment (many years ago) they came in monthly for pest control & would randomly enter to check for violations.
No child should have to live in that

All apartment complexes start out planned and used as starter homes for young adults and professionals in housing transition. They all end up flea bag section 8 hell holes.

Instead of being pissed why don't "inspectors" go to every home receiving wic, snap, hud, welfare or any other state or federal UN EARNED entitlements and report actual facts and hold people accountable before it reaches this point. I'll wager both of these shite stains will be out within a year and have another child.

That’s enough internet for today.

Im not one to play the "fair" card in many circumstances but when bad things happen to children especially like this my mind goes to heartbreak for the kid and some of the darkest thoughts you can imagine for the parents.
I think i have the mentality of Law abiding citizen towards people like this.

Starve the in a cold room naked

This shite has always affected me badly. But ever since I became a dad, it's a whole other level. The thought of someone else doing this to a kid... my kid... any kid... I can't even...

You have to be licensed to do 100 different things, from making floral arrangements to cutting hair, but anyone can have a baby.
I’m not suggesting the government license parenting, just an observation.
My daughter and her husband, who are great parents, always joke “I can’t believe they just let us leave the hospital with this baby. We don’t know anything.”

Find a tall tree and a rope.

Obviously they need to know how to get the baby to suckle and swaddle and shite like that, but that's what the nurses and grandmas are literally for in this context.
Unfortunately, there are large swaths of American society who were not into (or unable to) parent for a while, and it's trickling down.
The whole Project 2025 agenda centers around this ideal--raising 2-3 kids in a single-income family--but there’s no formal plan to actually make that financially possible for the vast majority of working couples.
