This is something I haven't thought about in ages.

but growing up this was a key personal accessory along with always carrying around a black comb and a pocket knife.

i'm curious if anyone on here still uses on on a regular basis?

I had knee surgery in October, and it came in handy for a few weeks. Otherwise, would not have a need to use one.

Never heard it called a shoe spoon. Shoe horn is what we called it.

Getting old. Gotta use the long version now

I did when I had to wear dress shoes on the regular. I haven’t worn them since 2022 but will use a shoe horn if and when I have to wear them again.

DV because I've never heard it called a spoon.

Never heard of anyone trying to shoe spoon something into something.

Yes i use it regularly. Helps prevent the back heel of my shoe from wearing down quickly.

I used to use shoe spoon with a long handle but now...
I wear sandals or flip flops 365 days a year when society makes me otherwise I'm barefoot and touching grass.
No need for a spoon anymore.

I have an Allen Edmonds one that I'm pretty sure came with a purchase.

I also have badass one that has sort of a running black panther as a handle (think the old Jaguar hood ornament) that I swiped from my dad years ago, and that I believe is older than me.

Always called it a shoe horn. Never in my life heard the term shoe "spoon".

Mine has a back scratcher on the other end so I use it all the time for that purpose. Not fat so no need for assistance putting on shoes.

Also reminded of the Seinfeld episode where they watch Edward Scissorhands and Kramer says he wished he had shoehorn hands.
