Need to see pics of Italian women's swimming and diving team before judging.

One is for money and the other is for opportunity… neither of which should be criticized on their own merits.

I wonder if Austin will as well.

Would be cool to see an all Nola battery.

Obviously, he is no longer big-leaguer level but I have to imagine his skill-level is still good enough for Italy.

He should have his US citizenship revoked if this is true

Probably almost 100 percent of the time, when a guy does this, it's because he wouldn't have made the US team, so in no way does it hurt the USA. The one time it happened otherwise, Mondo did it because it made him more money and he had an actual nationality connection to that country. This isn't like middle eastern nationals buying nationals from other countries. I'm America-first an all, but this really doesn't fall into something worth getting upset over.

You’ve never traveled the world. I can’t prove it but I know it’s true…

I would 100 percent play for a nation that a parent/grandparent was from if I couldn't make the US team. Not even a question. The amount someone can slay being a national team would be worth it alone.

Is he not good enough to get on team USA ? Isn’t that why these guys usually play for their ancestral home country

Nola could easily make the US team if he wanted.

If Kershaw can make the team, Nola should have no issues

I think he's retired from playing for real this time, but he made 10 starts for the Rockies last year.

This is a stupid thing to say. Without citizens with national pride, you don’t have much of a country. It’s essential and if you have ever served in the military you would have a different opinion. Hell even if you had a family member that served I would hope you would have a different outlook.

All that said, Nola has every right to play for Italy as that’s his choice and he is entitled to that.
