It’s not always the message it is who/how it is delivered. Trump is polarizing. Obama was as well but his delivery muted the distain from the other side. Post Obama we have seen much more decisiveness and everything escalates much more rapidly.

I'm pretty sure the left did have a problem with this. It's one reason Obama is regarded as a fake empty suit that's ran off to netflix by everyone except the libbiest of libs. His deportations did have protests, not to the extent of what we're seeing now, but he didn't have ICE agents visible in the streets, and certainly not incidents causing the deaths of american citizens

he was an accomplished liar - and he had the full-throated support of the media.
In fact he caused the media to cast aside any semblance of fairness and truthfulness they may have inherited from prior journalists

If anything, the duplicity of Obama shows that Trump could run his same exact agenda, but if he presented it with the same veneer of respectability that Obama excelled in, the media would fall in line immediately. It's why I think Vance will be so successful in '28

The left's excuse that Uncle Barry was ok because he didn't send in 'masked para military forces'. They tend to gloss of the fact that liberal localities wont turn over illegals to immigration so ICE has to go out and round them up.

Exactly. No Dem governor was going to cross him.
The only "resistance" to Obama's immigration policies was AZ, which was trying to enforce federal immigration law (and he sued them over it).

Isn’t it amazing? If the president applies the law, conducts proper hearings, deports non-status aliens, all without drama, roving masked gangs of thugs, and killing of Americans, the work gets done and no one objects.

But if others have commented about the Obama administration enforcing the nations immigration laws in a workman like manner, they are also living in reality. That is exactly what happened.

Obama was always getting a pass because he’s on the left. The media was constantly sucking him off. In addition, he was 98% of the time a liar.
