Getting pretty fricking tired of nurses

If tweet fails to load, click here. My mom was a nurse and a damned good one. She (and those of her generation) were damned proud of their profession and their primary goal was the care of their patients. They would have never done this sort of stupid shite (not the Covid dancing on TikTok). Thank God she wasn't around for it.

I’ve not done the math but if nurses and teachers didn’t vote in MN, Trump would have won that state.
Interesting to think about.

It's just liberal white women. It has nothing to do with nurses. I imagine white women in any field in Maine are liberal.
I also bet your average white nurse in Monroe, La., or Lake Charles, are conservative.

Passionate. However I work in healthcare administration and I can assure you that the cost associated with having to take care of illegals is far greater than a janitor who doesn't show up for work on one day. So just shut up and go back to dancing

It's almost like conservatives are going to have to consolidate themselves in a few states for their own safety.

They appear to have lost their fricking minds during COVID. You’re not doctors. STFU

You need to get out more.
Your average white nurse in Monroe, for example, is likely to be from West Monroe or Farmerville, Rayville or Sterlington, etc. All extremely conservative areas.
The same holds true for other towns. In Baton Rouge or New Orleans, it is likely different.
The point is that it reflects the community, not nurses in general (outside of the fact that it is woman dominated)

Blows my mind. All the nurses and people I know who work with the illegals in the ER are begging to send them back.

Doubtful...
You do realize you're talking about Minnesota, only state that carried Walter Mondale...

I think Trump came fairly close to 50% in MN.

Often overlooked in this discussion is that Mondale was from Minnesota. And despite that, Mondale barely won.
The vast majority of Minnesota counties are conservative. Just like a lot of states, the big municipalities control things.
quote:
In the 1984 presidential election, Minnesota was the only state won by Democratic candidate Walter Mondale against Republican Ronald Reagan. Mondale won with 49.72% (1,036,364 votes) compared to Reagan's 49.54% (1,032,603 votes). The margin was extremely close, with a difference of just 3,761 votes

My wife says that the single nurses are liberal and the married nurses are conservative. I wonder why that is.

Probably just youth and inexperience with the world.

I get that, but when is the last time Minnesota went red?

A long time, but it's usually close.
Trump got 47 percent in 2024. Kamala barely got 50.
The point is that the state is not lost, like some states are.
