Corey Raymond
Just let Raymond coach the DB unit as a whole. He’a done it before, but Baker may like to divide up roles.

Jacob Yoro
Current Mizzou Safeties Coach. Has worked with Baker before, so familiarity with system and SEC experience.

Vinnie Sunseri
Currently just started at Georgia Tech, was UF CO-DC/Safeties coach previously. SEC experience and Bama alum.

Josh Christian-Young
Just starting at Kentucky as Safeties coach. Was at Houston previously for a couple years and worked with AJ Haulcy! Was at Tulane before than that, so has Louisiana experience.

Patrick Surtain Sr
Currently unemployed. NOLA guy, attended Karr, NFL playing experience, MASSIVE FL HS experience and was recently at FSU. He is more CB focused I believe but get Mathieu in the fold and let 3 elite DBS/coaches go to work. Raymond+Surtain+Mathieu, imagine all 3 show up at your house for a visit…

frick Surtain. He played on his son’s recruitment. If he was any good, he’d have a job right now.

We seem to be the forgiving type. Check out Frank Wilson, Ed Orgeron and our new great hope Mr Kiffin and the Janzen Jackson story. Much more egregious than Surtain choosing Saban over Miles.

Don't know much about him as a coach, but I wouldn't hate it. Two reasons:

1. The dude was a stud at Bama despite limited athletic ability. He seems to really have an understanding of football
2. It would piss Bama fans off

He's been out of work for 2 months. I'm not saying we should hire him but this is a kind of stupid take.

Tyrann is the best person for this. Future HOF safety that loves LSU, Louisiana, and is hungry to be here.

I think he truly wants to make amends with his image here.

Enlighten us. So what did Kiffin do to LSU in the past that LSU forgives him for?

I’ll add another wildcard pick already on staff

Sam Petitto. He coached safeties without the on-field salary position for most of his tenure with Saban at Alabama

Caleb Downs followed him to Ohio State, and I was surprised Bradford didn’t flip his commitment to LSU when he came here. Kid really wanted out of LA

I imagine his lack of resume’ as the position coach would play a factor, but good to know in case of need.

They’re obviously too young to know, don’t follow this that closely, or too old to overcome their early onset dementia. LOL

Also, you might remember Petitto was hired by Kiffin at Tenn months prior to leaving for USC, but didn’t want to follow him to CA. I think ended up at GA.

Kiffin, O, and Frank had Jansen Jackson delay his signing under the guise of wanting his mom present only for him to sign with Tennessee instead of LSU after being committed to LSU for a year

Lots of talk of O and Frank being dirty recruiters at that time
