NIL needs to change…my suggestion

Basketball has proven to me that NIL needs to be base $ with incentives. These guys are way overpaid and I’m pissed they ripped off LSU

Yes, in a world where every other school is offering non-incentive based NIL I’m sure LSU doing so would attract the the best talent

The whole point of nil was to reward the top performers not as a recruiting inducement
It’s nowhere close to being performance based
Also it was supposed to be a cap on rev share but that’s not the case either

No single program can change NIL or their recruiting will be piss poor. And as we have seen NCAA has no teeth in anything. A conference won’t touch NIL (also recruiting related).

Wut? No it wasn't.
The point of it is for players to, rightfully, be able to make money off of their names i.e. get paid to be on video games, do local ads or run their own businesses without the NCAA being assholes and shutting it down.

The key here is they dont care what you want. They care about what they want and if they can get it. Until the system is modified that is what we have.
For those who dont know, basketball has been way more "NIL" or money oriented than all the other sports for quite a while even before NIL was legal.
