Do you think back in the horse and carriage days there were a-hole riders all over the place?
Everyone just trotting down the highway at a reasonable pace and a couple of assholes galloping around, cutting people off, taking over intersections riding around in circles. Such a chore to drive anywhere these days.

Horse and Carriage was the mini van trotting along.
Solo guy on a horse was the sports car cutting everyone off.
Asian lady on a donkey was the one holding up traffic in the left lane.
There was no horse insurance, so uninsured driver types didn't exist back then.

stay out the left lane tee unless there is nobody behind you in the left lane. if you see someone coming up on your tail, move over to the right lane and let them pass. be a courteous driver, you arent the road police.

I'm sure there were stage coach drivers that would pull out in front of you even though there's no one behind you. You know, that extra 2 seconds means everything to them.

It was easier to shoot aholes back then so people behaved.

As long as there's a handful of people around, there's going to be a-hole people no matter the time of day, week, year or history.

Probably a few assholes driving their carriage slow in the left lane while scrolling through Poor Richard's Almanac.

Therefore no insurance companies for Get Gordon and the Dudley Twins to sue?

I believe the overall increase in anger is a new development. There were always jerks, but the number of people and the opportunities to be a jerk has increased.

Sure. They'd h*ng those assholes, though.

Watch some of those old film reels from when horse and carriage and early automobiles were crossing over.
You think traffic sucks now? It was the Wild West back then

There's a train collector who rides one of those bicycles all over the place. He's got to be in his late 60's, at a minimum.

Of course, but I'm talking around town driving, Interstates and Highways are a different animal, get moving or move over. Around town it's mostly 45 from light to light. If you've got 10 cars, 4 are driving normally, 4 are watching youtube doing 25, and 2 are rolling coal or making their exhaust backfire so they sound like an AK.
It takes forever to get anywhere these days.
