The liberal world has really become a crazy place. To the point that middle eastern countries are looking nicer and more advanced than canada and france.

People bitching about lack of freedom in this country should move to Canada if they can't stomach moving to NK.

Losing gold medal games in Olympic hockey to the USA tends to do that.

I don't know the laws pertaining to euthanizing humans in Canada, but I've seen many pts where I've said "it's a shame, we can put our pets down when they're suffering, but not our family..."
My dad spent the last year of his life in a hospital bed, not knowing who anyone was around him. That's not living... Unfortunately, his body was in good shape, but his mind was gone..

If people are freely to willing do this, why should I be against it?

It's not always about "willing"... the video embed a few posts up is of a man who doesn't want to die but can't survive homeless. Also, medical care is a waiting game up there.

Was hospice not an option?

Because it’s not good for a government to help kill people who despair of living.
Do you have any other dumbass libertarian questions?

Well the people in charge value the dogs more than the citizens so that makes sense.
There simply isn’t enough money to run that socialized medical system so then you get rationing of care which gets you to euthanasia either directly or indirectly via lack of availability or access.

He was speaking figuratively. I think he knows it is literally living.

Yeah, his heart was beating and he was breathing...
But couldn't do anything else, zero quality of life. Yeah, by definition, he was living... if you want to call being confined to a bed, in that kind of condition, living... You can have that life...

That’s because people suck, and dogs are so much better. I honestly can’t imagine life without my heckin fur baby by my side while we cruise to our favorite dog park in my new Subaru CrossTrek (hybrid, of course) and sip oat milk lattes while playing with the other floofy puppers!

Cry me a river, Susan.
I hate that he's in continual and incurable pain, it's a terrible tragedy and compounded by the fact that he's about to lose his housing. But... it's his life. I don't see the purpose in demanding he be forced to live the rest of his life in what is likely to be increasing pain and infirmity just so you can feel some sort of smug moral superiority.
