tGeneral realizing he will not have the support at NC State to bring in talent to contend with the Duke's, UVA's, and UNC's of the world.

He’s 1-4 since Lee Mallet was named BOS president. Coincidence? I think not.

Can’t wait to see the parade as he rides back into town! Count me in.

Fans attending next Saturday’s final home game are encouraged to bring pears.

And hopefully he will get a few more. Enough to where NC state MISTAKENLY thinks they shouldn't fight LSU for him.
He would be welcomed back with open arms here.

Time to get rid of the “Nice Guy”…

UNC's of the world
Wade and NC State shellacked North Carolina 82-58 just two weeks ago.
This year's Duke has become a bashi-bazouk late in the regular season, rolling roughshod over ACC competition and even beating #1 Michigan! Their coach Scheyer is auditioning gamely to out-Shishefsky the great Mike Shishefsky

The competition has become more intense for NC St. The only game that was out of character was their shocking upset to Notre Dame on Saturday

UNC was without their top 2 scorers in that game.

If tweet fails to load, click here. I get Wade was successful at LSU, but this doesn’t scream “hire me”.
Just like Beard’s 12-17 record at Ole Miss
Both could be successful at LSU & obviously better than McMahon

He also lost to Ga Tech who is last in the ACC. Definitely having issues this year.

The man is in his FIRST year and is going to have NC State in the ncaa tournament . I’m not sure who people think we could get that would be better than the man who already proved he can win at LSU . He loves it here and the boosters love him , he would be a homerun hire no matter how mad it would make some of these so called lsu fans that obviously don’t care about the men’s basketball program

Beard certainly has more tournament "skins on the wall", and I agree this season for him is a big outlier. The issue is he has a pretty cost prohibitive contract for anyone seeking to poach him from Ole Miss. His base salary is $6M annually (within the top 15 in the nation) and he would owe $4.5M to Ole Miss if he left. I doubt he would leave OM for less money than he is making now, so a $10.5M initial buy-in to get him seems steep.
