Don't you know the rant and the trolls know better? This place is becoming intolerable. Some people need to be banned

Some people think they have to start a post for every panic thought that comes into their head.

Exactly.

ill be honest I have had negative thoughts at times the last few seasons, but I always turned out to be wrong. So I think I'll just let it play out before getting all worked up. It's gone pretty well so far.

There are posters on this board who have watched baseball for 25+ years and literally learn nothing along the way. Absolute chimps

This is a really sad truth unfortunately. So many that should know better about how baseball is and yet they choose to continue to hold the baseball team to a football standard. They think LSU should beat these little teams in baseball 15-0 every game.

Lots of baseball left
Post-1990 Era (Modern Power Era)
Since 1990:
- LSU: 7 titles
- Miami: 4 titles
- Fullerton: 4 titles
- Texas: 3 titles
- Clear modern alpha: LSU - They’ve converted opportunities at a higher rate. LSU doesn’t just get to Omaha — they tend to win when they’re there.
Programs like Texas have more appearances but a lower conversion percentage.
In the last 20 years, has there ever been a baseball team that went undefeated? Short answer - NO.
Most dominant team - 2022 Tennessee – 57–9. Did they win the CWS? No.
At LSU, the standard isn’t:
“Did we lose a mid-week?”
It’s:
“Are we built for June?” LSU doesn’t just get to Omaha — they tend to win when they’re there. The best team doesn’t always win. The hottest team in June usually does. LSU is usually one of the hottest teams.
What Actually Kills Omaha Probability?
- Finishing .500 or worse in SEC play
- Losing a series at home
- Injuries to Friday/Saturday arms
- Peaking too early and fading in May
And just remember - banners don't say what seed you were...they just say national champions.
The skyscreamers obsess over optics. Programs obsess over preparation. The only month that defines legacy is June.
In other words, you people need to...CHILL WINSTON!!

Jay Johnson moves pieces around all the way to the postseason, and midweek games are his lab to test out changes. Let the man do his job, he seems to be pretty good at it.
In the grand scheme of things, losing midweek games only hurts the ego of the untested and helps to galvanize the team for tougher competition.

I don't think we will know much about this team until we get several weeks into SEC play. A random weekday loss doesn't mean much in the grand scheme of things.

LSU could have easily won that game with 10 runs if it was a make-or-break game.

While I'm far from panic mode, the problems in the last few games are more than "it's just baseball". I have full faith and confidence in Jay and the staff to figure out what is going on and rectify it, but this funk they have been in for the past week is hard to watch.
Every baseball team goes through a stretch like this and the good ones find a way to work out of it. History tells us we will eventually change course and get rolling again.
