Seems to be the future.

quote:

European clubs in Athens and Munich permanently installed GlassFloor’s LumiFlex court ahead of the 2024-25 season, with Panathinaikos GM Stavros Ntinos recently saying that he’s noticed “a decrease in complaints about soreness or discomfort that players typically experience after intense games.”

Also has somewhat of a trampoline affect that helps the players jump about 3 inches higher. Going to be highlights galore.

No it doesn't.

The "glass" aspect might make people think it's rigid or bouncy in a trampoline way, but the engineering prioritizes joint-friendly elasticity and consistent play over any trampoline boost. Players get the same vertical leap capability as on wood, but potentially with less wear on their bodies over a tournament.

There have been tons of players that have said it helps them jump higher.

Also you missed this.

"Trampoline" Effect: At least one independent dunker who tested NBA glass LED floors noted that the high-quality, flexible material feels almost like a "trampoline" and resulted in higher jumping sessions."

No it doesn't.

quote:

No, the ASB GlassFloor (the LED glass court in question) does not provide a trampoline-like effect that allows players to jump measurably higher, based on extensive reviews, player feedback, and technical specs from the manufacturer and independent tests. It's engineered for better shock absorption and joint protection, not enhanced vertical leap.

quote:

Ball bounce is certified by FIBA and NBA standards to match hardwood exactly (around 90–95% rebound efficiency), so no "livelier" feel that could indirectly aid jumps.

Monetize it to the hilt.

Probably showcases a different brand at every timeout.

And in bars

The best location, with floor LEDs.
The entire space becomes part of the staging — this way of using them is genuinely amazing.

At what point is it too much stimulation? People will snap eventually.

OTOH, pretty.

I’m already there. The scrolling ads on NBA sidelines and behind home plate were distracting at times. There was nothing wrong with a wood floor, was there?

They should give the Slamball approach a try. A few dunks, less layups, maybe a few dozen concussions. It'll be worth watching!

Not there yet, maybe they could run some of those minecraft videos next to ads so that the adhd crowd stays entertained.

Are the lines variable too?

Can’t wait for the first controversy for the 3 point line to glitch or something and cause an easier 3 than it would’ve been or something like that for a game winning shot

That'll take the WNBA Dildo toss to an entirely new level.
