If you struggle with p*rn or alcohol. There is hope. Don't give up.

The life I've always wanted is taking shape from where I was a year ago because I have given up p*rn and alcohol. My health, finances and relationships have become the bedrock of my character. Vices are real, and they do physical damage to your brain even though you never see it in the moment.
For me, I eliminated all the triggers that open the doors for p*rn and alcohol. The goal is to beat the dopamine cycle with new triggers that give me steady pleasure.
4 months free of p*rn. When I am alone with my phone, I only do TD and podcasts. I put the settings on my phone so I can't google any restricted sites. I now communicate and plan with the wife when I need s*x. Because boy do I still do. That's just being a human. It has made my relationships with my wife and family better. It has made me stop being so mean all the time.
6 months free of alcohol. Socially this was hard. But now I just order a zero beer. So many places carry a version of 0% and if you are scared someone will judge you, LET THEM. Who gives a shite. Your pocket book will also thank you if you stop ordering drinks at dinner. My energy, my brain clarity and my overall health are so much better. I'm now able to consistently work out and build healthy habits.
Eliminate the triggers, build good habits, go work out and most of all, PUT YOUR PHONE AWAY.
It's not easy. It's hard. Don't do it alone.
You've got this.

You have access to readily available pussy and still struggled with porn?
Marriage sex jokes aside, that blows my mind.

Once you get addicted. Nothing can stop the dopamine train, no matter what you have around.

and still struggled with porn?

maybe you were addicted, or feel like you were, but that shoe doesn't necessarily fit everyone else

I'm happy for you but also bothered that you keep censoring the word porn.

I don't have a problem with either but I applaud not allowing your appetites to control you

Who watches porn on their phone?
The 65 inch Samsung is for porn
The 16 inch laptop with "voice to type" is for TigerDroppings
and in my left hand is a Hendrick's Gin & tonic

Every now and then, throw on a little porn, crank the hog and you are done in 5 minutes. Who the frick is sitting for hours watch porn? It’s extremely health to masturbate. Good for your heart.

Sounds like you got addicted to porn straight up. Not sex or climax.
Always saw the point of porn as busting a nut. Wife provides a healthy avenue for that. A man who needs regular sex, not porn, has no need to struggle when he has access to regular sex.
Glad to hear you are sorting it out.

What’s with the asterisk in porn? I’ve seen other people do that when talking about a porn addiction.

Idk sometimes it takes time to find the right video, have you never scrolled through 11 pages of videos and not quite found the right hog cranker?

I heard someone say the other day men browse porn like women browse restaurant menus. I thought that was pretty accurate.
