LSU has won its last game of the season. It will lose Saturday to Texas A&M, it will lose its first game in the SEC Tournament, it will finish 15-17 overall, and it will not receive any postseason bid.

quote:Many, many have posted that he’s a good coach and knows his Xs and Os. He blows Will Wade out of the water. Every excuse in the book has been attached to the guy to remove any accountability. There are people posting today making excuses and hypothesizing how he would look as a coach if we had a better roster.

It is very much possible LSU gets an NIT bid...even if they don't win another game. That's because the NIT is obligated to extend invitations to the two highest rated SEC teams who don't make the NCAA Tournament. Not conference standings. Rated in the analytical metrics.
Many current projections have 10 SEC teams in the NCAAT with Auburn on the bubble. If AU gets in, then Oklahoma and LSU would (likely) be the highest rated SEC teams to not reach the NCAAT. LSU is 76 in NET. Ole Miss is 90. MSU is 108. South Carolina is 110.

Not just posted on here. It's clearly on the SEC Network pre-printed "Topics to discuss when LSU inevitably starts getting blown out" sheet. Virtually the exact same statements have been made in each of the last two games once the game got out of hand.

Everybody says that about every coach. “he’s a good coach, but he’s not a good fit”

LSU will not accept an NIT bid under any circumstance if they are changing head coach
There is zero point it’s a waste of time and money

Why do you make stupid threads?

I'll play along....
IF LSU gets the invite, yes he will coach, but he will be fired after LSU's season is over.
Any coach LSU would be pursuing will likely be in the Big Dance anyway. This isn't like football where they start poaching coaches during the season.

Does that override the rule that you must be over .500 to get a postseason bid?
