We voted for Bill Cassidy. He ran on Trump's record 6 years ago. He told us everything we wanted to hear and when things got tough he folded like a cheap suit and voted to impeach the president who got him elected.

He is doing the same thing Cornyn is doing this time around - pretending that he is not a turn coat and hoping DC money from Karl Rove and friends will get him across the finished line. It will not.

Now Thune is pressuring the President and voters to drop Paxton and vote Cornyn (who voted for gun control and worked against Trump) or the republicans will not support the Save Act.

Think about that - the republicans are the enemy of the Save Act. An act that assures that citizens and only citizens vote. An act that would help get pro America, pro constitution, anti socialism candidate elected in fair elections.

They also say only Cornyn can beat the democrat (but they will not support the Save Act that would assure more republicans beat democrats who rely on cheating.)

Cornyn and Thune are the guys with the gun telling you to put your gun down and they will not kill the hostage (they are going to kill the hostage either way.)

So regardless, if they pass the Save Act because you acquiesce and allow Cornyn in, who the vast majority of republicans do not want, you will have essentially elected a democrat swamp member.

Vote for Paxton, because even if the Save Act passed with Cornyn getting the seat, he will impeach Trump and undermine the Save Act and the America First agenda for the rest of his term.

Rather to have a senator who would support the Save Act if it came up again then have one that will undermine it. And if Cornyn can't get the Save Act passed with out being assured he keeps his seat, then he is a POS. But we already knew that.

Trump will back off endorsing Cornyn or he’ll eat it. He better get Don Jr. down there and get the pulse of the people instead of relying on back room strategists.

Cornyn and Cassidy are loose cannons and neither will be reelected. Nor should they. The Save Act is definitive.

I would take Cornyn and the SAVE act passage over a fight for Paxton.

Trump is transactional. But for this one, they need to pay him up front. Don't endorse till the SAVE Act is passed and signed. Then drop some skeletons from his closet that will make it where you can't honor the deal, endorse Paxton, profit.

If Trump endorses Cornyn I'm done with him. I want the SAVE act passed more than most, but this deal would be a slap in the face.

From my understanding Cornyn is a co sponsor of the Save Act. Im ready to get Cornyn out but its not like Paxton is pure as driven snow. He has skeletons and more may come out about him if he is the nominee. Im conflicted on this one

You will get neither then. Cornyn does not support Trump. he does what he needs to do to get elected. Under Biden he voted for gun control, was opposed to the border wall, and said Trump needed to move on that he could not win.

Why would you vote for a guy that will not support the Save Act if he is not the nominee?

You think he is going to represent you on other issues?

We cannot trust Thune. Cornyn would fake support for the Save Act but you can damn well bet that Thune would have a deal worked out where it would die without Cornyn’s help. They are treacherous turncoats when it counts. And this next election is critical.

cornyn would never have been in a runoff if wesley hunt hadn't gotten in the race. now that cornyn is in a runoff, watch trump endorse cornyn. it makes me think this was the plan all along. i wonder what the payoff was wesley hunt got? a nice federal post?

Paxton must be loud and clear that the SAVE ACT must be made into law now. It is what he must say over and over while campaigning. If it is not law by mid-April he can easily castigate Cornyn for it.

Then again, this could all be an act in the drama called "DC"!!

Me and many others aren't voting for Cornyn, even if he is the only option. I'll pull the lever for the R in every other race, but I am absolutely not voting for him.

So he is a co-sponsor of an act that Thune and others will only support if Cornyn is the nominee.

So they are willing to get The Save act and allow the Dem to win the senate seat? Because that is what will happen.

What percent of republican voters will stay home in Louisiana if Cassidy is the nominee?

Now do Texas where at least 25% will not pull the lever for Cornyn?

Dem candidate wins.

Maybe this is what Thune wants so they can go forward with impeachment.

And not Paxton?

Somebody help me be ok with all his baggage.

There’s a lot of “where there’s smoke, there’s fire” shite that will be HEAVILY featured in the negative campaign ads.

The Talarico guy will have his share of negative ads targeting him but unaffiliated Texans who just vote based on campaign ads and yard signs might find him more palatable.

Some of you must be too young to remember that Cassidy was elected 2014 to get rid of Mary Landrieu. Landrieu had the endorsement of much of the actual oil companies drilling offshore, and many of the sheriffs who she had funneled Fed money to. Endorsements from local sheriffs has historically played a major role in who gets elected in Louisiana.

Blowhard & liar, Rob Maness was trying to be a fly in the ointment during that election. He tied Landrieu in one precinct in his backyard, which is loaded with retired veterans, and won ZERO. He did win a few precincts around Funroe.

Cassidy's HUGE mistake was voting for impeachment after saying he wouldn't. It was a moot point by that time, with Biden already inaugurated, anyway but seriously retarded.

Since 2024, Cassidy has tried to play like he is best buds with Trump. That's sits worse with me than even his vote for impeachment.

On a side note, I had a meeting with Cassidy's office in late 2019 to get a letter of support for a project I was working on for Baton Rouge. The window was narrow to build the plant and start the business. They didn't do shite. It would have been the largest carpet recycling plant in the world, with zero waste, and no subsidies or grants. As a result, the owner of the patent, a chemical company in the NE USA, wouldn't allow us to use it.

Phuck Cassidy.

When is Thune up for reelection? Anybody doing the ground work to get him dumped too? He needs a good primarying as well.

Trump's RINO congressional enemies need to be out of there.

I voted Paxton, and will again in the runoff. I don't know of any family member or friend of mine that actually voted for Cornyn.

Talarico is a heretic. He's literally a wolf in sheep's clothing. This psycho claims there are 6 genders and that God is non-binary. I can only hope that the insanity spewed from his mouth is enough for him to lose.
