Politicians: 1) Americans can complete an annual 1040. 2) Photo IDs for Voting is Racist.

I am sure this argument has been made before but I think it is topical during tax season.
1) Politicians are fine with tax paying Americans having to spend hours going through a 1040 form annually to calculate their individual amount of State & Federal Income Tax.
BUT...
2) Asking an adult to get to a State DMV to go through the process to acquire a Photo ID and then present that Photo ID is just too much.
The second item is exponentially easier than the first, unless I am missing something.

They don't truly think its racist or that their voters can't do these things.

Maybe quit being so freaking racist! Dontchaknow these poor people don't have a way to get to the DMV?! Although they have no problem getting to the welfare office for benefits strangely enough.

If you are referencing the SAVE Act, that state ID is insufficient to register to vote.

It is sufficient to vote.
And one presumes states would adjust their state IDs to comply with the new requirements just as they’ve done with Real ID.

I don't fall for this BS democrat talking point but i think you overestimate how long it takes half of Americans to fill out a tax return. The Walmart Jackson Hewitt kiosk can probably knock out a basic return in 15-20 minutes if you bring all your shite with you.
And if you are spending hours on your return, you are probably not the type of people the democrat thinks is too stupid to go to the DMV and get a license.

How about this angle:
Voting is a constitutional right of every citizen and showing an ID is too hard and will deny a constitutional right to people who don't have their shite together.
But ALSO, anyone who wants to buy a gun (also a constitutional right). should have to show ID and go thru extensive background check.
That said, Liberals have never been bothered by hypocrisy.
