I endorse freetaxusa as well. I used it for my taxes this year and it was a breeze.

Plenty of options for someone with taxes that simple, but I’ll stan a bit for cashapp taxes. At least as of a few years ago, of all the free services, they allowed the most complicated returns. It’s something he could grow into as he starts having access to things like an HSA, etc.

Learning about freetaxusa is the most useful thing I’ve ever gotten out of Tigerdroppings.

Get him to do it the old fashioned way. You can pick up tax forms at libraries or print online. It’s not that complicated and helps teach him tax basics which everyone should know.

All of the sites should be free, he doesn't make enough money (cutoff is 60k I think.) I switched from Block to TaxSlayer and was pleased with it.

NOT Turbo Tax.

I used to work at Intuit.

They outsourced most of the jobs to India, where they sell 0 products.

It is no longer a US company.
