Nothing against transfers, but it's nice to see a home grown talent who bleeds purple and gold hanging in there to take advantage of his opportunity and run with it.
Big John's last three games:
.400 BA, 2 HRs, 8 RBIs

The guy can absolutely hit. I wasn't sure he'd break the lineup but he's taken advantage of his opportunities this year.

The REAL CAJUN BAMBINO
ETA - his defense these past couple of weeks has been a pleasant surprise. It hasn't been perfect (I believe he had an error against Southern IIRC), but he's been serviceable and has made some really good plays at 3rd. His defensive improvement at 3rd and continued progression at the plate will continue to be a huge boost to this team.

I really did not expect him to do well. I’m glad I was wrong.
He’s been better than I expected at the plate, and in the field.

Not only that, that throw from third to first can be tough, he’s money almost every time.

His next step is laying off of bad pitches but that will come

The Pearson family definitely has the baseball gene.
He and Dardar get their money's worth at the plate.

Brother is a legend since he basically saved our NC season on his catch. Looking like he about to solidify his own legacy!

Don’t worry. There will be plenty of people on here shitting on him this weekend if he has a couple of bad at bats.

so happy for his success - hope he hangs in there and keeps improving. Seems to handle 3rd base quite well also.

They don't quite have Tommy Tanks' violence, but who does?

Hope he takes that tiny park in Knoxville to the cleaners this weekend

I'm happy too that a Louisiana kid is doing well, we need more.
I definately had concerns about his defense, but if JJ could make
Tommy Tanks a pretty good defensive 3rd baseman, there was hope that
he could do the same for Pearson.
