What happened to clearing the benches?

Pitchers chirping, bats flipping, but nobody wants to defend their teammates. All talk and no walk. My travel ball team cleared the benches for less. What happened to the game I love?

Whats the point in clearing benches? Honestly...it accomplishes NOTHING, and possibly gets some of your players hurt or suspended. Nothing like a bunch of retards going after each other for no reason, smh

You still see it in MLB…because who cares about getting suspended for a few games when you play 162. College doesn’t have that luxury. Most of these guys don’t have pro ball to fall back on. Why would you want to be suspended for important games?

Clearing the benches would only encourage more antics. The only real deterrent would be the threat of a ball in your ribs or a fist on your chin, and the schools would probably expel a kid if he tried that.
Or go the super soft route and start ejecting players for some of this stuff, which I don’t think anyone wants

Umps let all that talking shite happen instead of giving warnings. Players don’t respect the game by all of the showboating. Just walk off the mound or take your base without all the bullshite.

The best way to shut them up is to take the pitcher yard and strike the batter out. It’s that simple. If you can’t do that then you have to let them talk. Maybe those kids are grown up enough to not let some other kid talking shite bother them.
