People love to hate on BR sports radio on here, and I get some of the reasons why. But these are things ive heard from different Lafayette radio show host, who discuss LSU baseball but clearly pay zero attention to LSU.

(This was before Moore got injured and was still pitching on Saturday's)

- LSU only has Evans on Friday and Schmidt on Saturday. They should be good with both of those, but they need to find a Sunday starter.

- Milam wasn't hitting great early in the season, and played because of his defense. There were discussions about replacing him in the lineup. (This was this morning)

- Last weekend Arrandi hit 4 HRs. (Not Arambide)

As bad as BR may be, it could be MUCH worse.

I don’t buy this at all.

Well yeah. The point wasn't that this was accurate in any way. The point was they spout absolute nonsense, while clearly not having a clue what's going on.

Baton Rouge’s biggest hobby is hating on Baton Rouge. BR is blessed to have a solid sports radio lineup, anchored by the GOAT Matt Moscona. KALLICKHAAAAGHHH!

Lafayette sports radio is pretty cringeworthy most of the time. RP3 spends 80% of his air time talking about food and Foote just rants about anything and everything. I actually worry about him having a stroke or a heart attack in the middle of one of his shows.

He is the one you can most clearly tell doesn't watch over half of what he's talking about. He honestly has no business hosting a sports show. The only time he has a clue what he's talking about is when its about food.

When it comes to the Astros and Saints, at least Foote is heavily invested in what he's talking about.

I thought Dawson would be great, because he carried the show when he was on with RP3. Him solo is rough though. It's more like listening to national radio. He is also the one who didn't know Moore was pitching on Saturday and Schmidt on Sunday.

I agree it’s ridiculous. The Milam bit is absurd.

That area of Louisiana(some but not all) has Ragin Cajun “red arse” for LSU.

Their coverage of ULL is even pretty damn sub par.

It's not as bad as it is sometimes made out to be, but my wife describes it best. She calls them yappy dogs. Loud and obnoxious, but in no way anything but annoying.

And I'm a USL grad. But most folks I know pull for both schools.

It's the radio. It's no longer relevant. They can't exactly afford to pay our best and brightest

New Orleans sports radio. The only station I still know of is betting shows, and Jim Rome. I would happily take Mascona over that. Richmond, VA had better

Seems your confusing their thought to replace him early in the season, not now.

Milam was lost in the AB in the 7th Tuesday. But other than that he has been absolutely smoking the ball as of late. I think he went o’fer on Friday, but he absolutely ripped 3 balls, including a robbed HR.

The kids in BR have no idea how good the sports radio is there. I live in the Dallas area - they talk about everything but sports on the sports channel. I’ve traveled around and listened to a lot of different places - BR sports radio is stellar comparatively.
Doubt it? Use iHeart Radio and tune in to some other places. Sports radio typically means 10 minutes of sports per show.

Why?

BR sports radio is pretty good. It’s much less corporate feeling than other radios. Like Houston for example it’s so generic feeling like Sirius sports radio.

The only gripe I have is the lack of pelicans talk granted the Pels have been bad for a while. But still.
