I like Vance more than Rubio for 28.

I believe they are good friends and respect each other, but I don't see a Vance/Rubio ticket. I'd even be surprised if Vance would want Rubio as SoS. Maybe in another position? I think Vance has much more isolationist values, not complete isolationists, just more than Trump. Rubio has done well regarding what Trump wants, though imo.
It's a stretch, but I can kind of see Tusli as SoS for Vance. I do not, however, see her as a VP with him, nor would I want her there. Or just keep her at DNI. I'm not sure Rubio would accept anything other than staying where he is or VP potential, unless there's another good position he'd fit well in. I'm not knocking Marco, just don't think he'd fit well with how, at least I see, Vance would want to do things. I think Vance would be more MAGA than Trump. And I'm not bashing Trump, I just pay a lot of attention to Vance over the last year, and currently, he seems to be much more America First. His interview with TPUSA was good once they got away from the Erika Kirk talk.

I worry about Vance being a Thiel shill. I prefer Rubio but either would be a win.

I feel like Vance is more Human than Rubio - Vance has his finger on the cultural stuff where Rubio does not give a shite about any of that - not that there is anything bad about Rubio.
I think they will both make a fine President one day

JD was anti-Trump not long ago.
I like Vance but he doesn’t exactly have many accomplishments to run on.

I'd agree with this.
Both guys would be awesome.
The part I am hesitant with Vance is his stance on H1B1. I don't like that. Like everything else about the guy and I don't expect to agree with the president 100% of the time.
The part about Rubio I wonder about is if his transformation is permanent or if he will revert back to Lil Rubio if he's the HMFIC.
I like both candidates right now for a 2028 run. Much more than anyone else.
Desantis would also be acceptable.

I’d vote for either over a democrat

You could flip a coin for me. I think Rubio might be more electable right now but that could change by 2028.

Vance's background worries me.
Was a NeverTrumper in 2016 and voted for Bill Kristol's boy Evan McMullin. The movie based off his book was directed by Ron Howard, who has donated to John Kerry and Obama, and the film was backed by Netflix, which we know has strong ties to the Obamas.
While I applaud his conversion to Catholicsm, I don't see how one can do that while you're already married and not care about the eternal destination of your wife's soul to complete RCIA together. It is strange that Thiel is the one who encouraged him to convert to Catholicsm, considering Thiel isn't Catholic and is in a gay marriage.
Holding political office for less than 2 years then being tapped at VP is a red flag to me. Aside from his trip to Armenia, there have been no solid accomplishments of his, despite Trump seemingly trying to get him more involved than a normal VP. I don't really fault him for having no legislative accomplishments during his short time in the Senate, considering that the Dems controlled the Senate and White House during his time.
He just seems manufactured to me, especially considering his fast ascent and ties to Thiel.
ETA- And Lil Marco is just McCain in a sombrero.

I think for the foreseeable future, any presidential candidate will have to assure voters he'll force Iran to abide by whatever agreement is made.
Assume the strait stays open, we get the nuclear dust and Iran stops funding terror groups and whatever else is agreed to how long before Iran tests a new president?
I'd imagine the moderates in Iran are telling the hardliners we have no cards to play with Trump but, he won't be president forever. Let's step back a few years and see if th next one is determined as Trump.

I like Vance but Rubio controls the room and is much more Presidential at this point.
If Rubio feels his time is in 28’ he will run, he isn’t waiting 8 years like we all want to believe.

SoS is Rubio's calling. It is what it is. Vance would do good to keep Rubio there.
As for Vance, being a good #2 is a hell of a lot easier than being a good #1. Hopefully the next 2.5 years will give Vance some great experience to champion on the campaign trail.

I just don't think it's going to be Vance. I think they will probably hand the mantle to Rubio.
I wonder if the Dems would still try to play the race card with Rubio? It wouldn't make sense, but the Dems never worry about making sense.

I like both, which kinda sucks! That we have two outstanding presidential candidates at the same time. Outside of Rubio agreeing to be a VP candidate....
Who knows how this will turn out.

I think both are excellent... I'm still willing to adhere to the following guide, setting up Rubio to be the best President my daughters will know.
Besides, he'll look great for the presidential portrait with a little grey in his hair.

If the primary were held today, I would vote for Vance.
If Rubio gets the nomination, I'm good with that.

I’m good with either.
Also if it was possible I’d like Rubio back in the Senate and him run to get majority leader. We need someone MAGA in that position that can get things done not limp wrist RINOs like Thune
