this reminds me of the sign the city of Opp, AL put up in early 1997 that said “Home of University of Alabama Head Football Coach Mike DuBose”
showed a picture of that to my boss st the time, and he said “don’t ya think they should wait until after he actually coaches a game first?”

In that case they definitely should have waited. But at least when Bama shite canned him all they had to do was cross out the “University of Alabama” part and change it to say “Opp High School.”

there was a sign entering Opp, as late as the mid 90s, that wouldn't quite cut it today, if you are from around there I'll bet you've seen it
