SCOTUS MUST do the right thing!
"Now they have birthright citizenship. They'll probably rule AGAINST us!"
"Supreme Court could have helped us...no country in the world has it. It's horrible for our country. And I just see it, you know? I see some of these [justices] that are nominated by me asking real BAD questions!"
"And looks like maybe we're gonna lose that one too."

Apparently, the Constitution IS a suicide pact.

The Constitution’s citizenship clause applies to everyone, and is not “for illegal aliens.”

I won’t be surprised by SCOTUS ruling 6-3 in favor for birthright citizenship for illegals, but I will be glad that they at least heard and settled the issue rather than relying upon abstractions and a footnote.

I like Trump's goal with this, but to ask the SCOTUS to rule against the constitution is retarded. To bitch about the ruling is even worse.

Pure birthright citizenship is an awful idea. Which is probably why almost no countries do it.

We'll never get enough of Democrats to vote to change the Constitution. They want illegals here to become lifelong leeches on the system. That way, they are forever beholden to their party. American citizens be damned.

If they don't read it and understand it as it was written at the time...they aren't worthy of being supreme court judges. Too many are compromised.

They aren't changing it. It's not their job. They interpret it and I believe they are making an incorrect interpretation. Birthright citizenship was intended for slaves.

Deport the parents, keep the kids at birth.

Time for Congress to add definition and if that doesn't work amend the Constitution.

US didn't do it either, but this SCOTUS isn't about to unring that bell.

I get that argument, but the constitution doesn't explicitly state that. At least not that I can see. I see that "the Congress shall have the power to enforce, by appropriate legislation, the provisions of this article", though. So maybe next step after this ruling is to get congress to codify citizenship standards.

I blame this on the writers of the 14th Amendment. Their judgement was not as sagacious as the Founding Fathers.

Congress can't invalidate the Constitutional baseline with this authority.
Just like Congress shouldn't be able to create a class of persons via statute that usurp the Constitution, either. That would make Congress superior to the Constitution, which nobody actually believes.

Just in case you guys aren't getting it, trying to make changes to the US to strengthen what needs to be done is never going to happen. I'm not even sure Trump can focus on one thing at a time before he moves on to the next thing ADHD style. 2 years will have gone by and we will have very little accomplishments with a majority in all 3 branches of govt. It's a shame and quite disappointing to think what could have been done. And all of it is the Dems fault. If they don't try to push all of the nonsense on the American public there would be at times real choice in leadership. All of it is disgusting and puts us all at constant turmoil fighting one another for no real change.

The amendment literally says Congress has the power to enforce the provisions of the article. Stop being so dense.

elon musk could fix this by setting up a 20 billion dollar travel company to move 2 million white people a day into the US that are already pregnant and due to drop immediacy.
that's the absurd move to get it fixed.
as a private company he could pick the folks most likely to advance the white race
