Good article.
It laid out some BS about the roles JBE and Williams play in this mess.
My favorite part? Linking the fates of Wade and Alleva at LSU. He has a point: there is no way Wade gets fired and Alleva stays on board. It just won't happen.

Haney has already said that's his end game. Wade is only one piece of that puzzle.

Scott does a good job of clearing up a lot of the issues. In particular, Wade is not under investigation by the FBI.

Whoever is paying college players let the chips fall. It is not alright to cheat just because everybody else does it. I'm fed up with this new generation that says it's ok to cheat. When your boss calls you in and you don't report to speak to them look for another job because you have something to hide. This is sad when people consider cheating as part of our society. We are a sad country when cheating is accepted.

How self righteous of you. And to your point of this "new generation" doing it, Charles Barkley said when he was at AU in the early 80s he received improper benefits, so this is hardly something new. It's a systemic and well established protocol. Wade just happened to open his mouth on the wrong two phone calls.

He didn't have Duke's best interests at heart in the 2000s and he doesn't have LSU's at heart right now. He's a snake whose priority, above all else, is self preservation.

It really isn’t cheating. It’s just how things work in all walks of life in business, sports, and politics.
This has been going on since the 60’s & 70’s. Lol. How do you think Rupp, Wooden, and Bear Bryant built dynasties.
Go look into John Wooden at UCLA. He was a mediocre coach his first 15 years at UCLA. He didn’t become a Legend until Papa Sam showed up and started bringing elite players to Westwood.

You should give up college athletics and probably all sports that generate any sort of revenue because it is rampant. Like to the point that if you dont cheat you dont stand a chance. You may claim this to be a "generational" issue but it is not. This has been going on for a long time and you have been supporting it if you watched or attended a game. If you want to ignore the obvious and stick your head in the sand, go ahead. But don't say this generation made cheating common or acceptable.

Then maybe it is time to end the fairytale, and call this what it is, a professional sports organization operating under the name of a college serving as a NBA farm league. I don't understand why so many people want to pretend that this is somehow amateur college athletics.

Unfortunately, it’s part of any sport where money can be made and a sports legacy created,and has been for a long time. It’s not just the “new” generation, whatever that means.
You’ can go back to the 70’s and 80’s when Russia and East Germany were winning all track and strength events at the Olympics and it was discovered to be due to steroid use, and male hormone use in women’s events.
Then in the 90’s and 2000’s steroid use started to infiltrate MLB and North American Track and Field (actually worldwide eventually)
Users started beating everybody, huge batting numbers, record breaking speeds.
Other athletes started to do steroids because they could not compete with the cheaters, even though they trained just as hard. It was not a level playing field.
Then of course it was blood doping in cycling, throughout the 2000’s.
I don’t like cheating on moral grounds either, but I have enjoyed the turn around this basketball program has made.
I enjoyed watching batters crank out home runs.
I enjoyed watching 100 meter sprints time records be broken, the immense speed was amazing.
So I realize I’m somewhat of a hypocrite.
