Bobby Flays place in Ceasar’s was fantastic. There used to be a steakhouse in New York New York that was damn good.
I personally thought the sports book at the Bellagio was the nicest. I had better luck gambling on Fremont street than any of the strip casinos.
If you go to a strip club, have an exit strategy. They will booze you up and stalk you down and leave you penniless if you don’t. It’s insane.

I am from there, have family there, and travel there often (heading there tomorrow) A couple of things to note:
There are a lot of issues with protests and the "value" crowd bringing their "culture". Pay attention to your surroundings.
The homeless are always a problem. Keep your distance.
If you plan on walking up and down the strip then stay mid strip. As cheap as it is right now you can stay at the upper tier places for cheap. I tend to stay at the mirage as I am hardly at the hotel anyways. Bellagio does have a nice pool. I just hate paying more for a room that I am hardly at and having to walk a mile from exit to room.
Reservations for the nice restaurants are a must right now.
R/vegas is a good resource for locals. Keep in mind they can be political. They changed vegas and now complain about it.
Get off the strip. Go to Mt Charleston, Hoover Dam, The Grand Canyon, Valley of Fire, Zion NP, Bryce Canyon, Peakaboo Canyon, etc. The natural beauty within reach is underrated

I’m going with the wife. The trip just got moved back two weeks.
I’ve never been and never really had an excuse to go.
I just want to see the big bright lights and experience Vegas. I don’t really want to do anything specific.
I would like to stay at the nicest hotel and eat at the best steakhouse, and play a little blackjack.
I like the suggestions so far, so thanks to all that contributed.

Aria SkySuites. Avoids the riff raff, great restaurants (Jean Georges Steakhouse), decent pool with some nice talent. Centrally located so good to be a home base. Good deals should be had mid-week.
Honorable mention to the Skylofts, but you have to get through the culture to get to your room.

This is some great advice. This wasn’t what I was planning but want to add it to my plans now.
There’s a spot where Tony Soprano yells “I get it” while high on mescaline. I think it’s Red Rock State Park but I could be wrong. I would like to go there at sunset and yell the same thing, but sober.

Calico Hills is a good hiking trail in Red Rock Canyon. You can drive the loop through Bonnie Springs as well.
