A true OT question what are you reaching for?
Sriracha
OR the GOAT Sambal
If you don't eat either then I feel sorry for you

Good chance I’m doubling up. I don’t keep the paste at home. Will remedy that soon.

Thai I usually order it to where it's spicy enough already
I like Sambal in my fish sauce
I like Sriracha in general but don't put it on Thai or Viet food

Not to be confused with the chili garlic sauce which isn't spicy at all

I don't think "good Thai " requires those sauces, do they? They're way hotter and flavored as is.

Sriracha.
I use the paste though too, more for cooking than a condiment.

This is the correct answer. I do like the chili garlic oil if the dish is already spicy

You sound like the kind of person who brings a monogrammed pair of chopsticks to restaurants.

Huy Fong has the market cornered, regardless of our personal favorite.

Scoop a spoon full of sambal on top of bun, a healthy dose of siracha then stir the devil out of it before entering paradise
