Kinda lame but probably a 20-footer for par on the first hole. Broke a foot to the left and went in right in the heart. Thought a good round was in the works but ended up not hitting but 2 fairways all day lol

I have come to this conclusion: If I par or birdie the 1st hole, my round is fricked

Hybrid from 246 2nd shot on a par 5. Bunkers left, water right, drew it right down the pipe, got the ball right to the front of the green 30 ft from pin, easy 2 putt birdie

Knocked it to 5’ with a 7I on 169 yard P3.

Miss-read the putt and left it on the high side.

Birdied the two holes that I doubled the previous day.

May sound silly, but it gave me a feeling of revenge/poetic justice.

This is a “cool story bro” but 100% true. We had our 4th drop at the the turn bc of baby/wife (pussy), even with the 4th we were playing on a classic Hermitage trasher groups arse all day. Every one of them JB Holmesing 4 feet putts etc. we finally get to 17 and the cart girls roll around, And they effing stop her, mind you at this point we’re 35 minutes behind pace and it’s 3pm, hot af. We roll up pretty aggressively and they finally ask if we want to play through.

Kiss of death with the whole gallery watching but I bombed my 3 wood within 30-40 yards of a short par 4 in front everyone. Our whole group bombed their shots as well, which is rare. As we’re rolling by, fat dude in tiger red goes “there’s a TM distance out there, that’s mine”, “yea we saw it in the bunker” (were all right up by the hole), just icing on the cake with this group. I roll up for my second, hit a nice low, spinning 60 degree pitch, kicks in for eagle. First one ever for me, with everyone in plain sight watching.

First eagle and solid way to end a pretty bad day. Couldn’t get off the tee all day, lost more balls than I have in a LONG time and of course did that. This game is crazy.

My fricked up, backwards round yesterday had me Par, Par, Par and Bogey with 2 makeable birdie putts on the 4 Par 5s at Beaver yesterday, and I shot a smooth 99.

Shot a 94 with an eagle, a birdie and 3 pars. Have been flirting with finally breaking 80 and this game just kicks you right back in the nuts.

Roughest day in a while. Lost 2 sleeves.

It's hot as balls in the south to practice during the summer, so I may just buy 1200 range balls from Ebay for $260 and just launch balls into the lake behind my house with my irons; which was my biggest issue yesterday.

2 50 ball sessions every week for 12 weeks.

Need a break? Walk into the house for a few.

Made the mistake of getting on the range for a half hour prior to an 11am tee time. Was drenched and probably pretty beat down.

Going to grip and rip next round and see if it changes things. Hate that feeling of leaving all the good swings on the range.

310 yard par 4, drive hit the top lip of a fairway bunker and rolled back in. 58 yards to the pin, nipped a sand wedge out of the bunker to 4 feet and made the birdie putt.

(Just because I have been trying to figure out my driver lately). Hit a beautiful tee shot on a par four that faded about 5-10 yards and ended up right in the middle of the fairway with about 120 left to the green. Best feeling and looking drive I've had in a while...

Proceeded to chunk my next shot about 45 yards and then ended up in the sand and doubled the hole.

Popped up my drive on a par 4 leaving me about 250 to the green and 200 to carry a creek in front. Stroked a 3 wood into the front face and rolled up about 15-20 ft from the pin as good as if I was hitting a wedge...

Walked to 18 needing a birdie to shoot par for the first time ever. Hit the drive, not great, but set up a decent second shot. Put a 4 hybrid to 10 feet. Yep, lipped out the putt, but was happy that I stepped up to the challenge and executed a great approach. Have only hit this green in two a handful of times. Harder than it looks. Now, I need to practice putting.

Par 5 7th at Oakbourne. Drive went right, in the trees, and I had to punch out with a 5-iron. I hit a good punch but the rough just kind of took off enough momentum to leave it on the right edge of the fairway. Flag was in the front and I had 170 left, trees on the right side of the fairway a little bit in the way, but if I hit a cut I could get around them. Pictured the shot and hit the cut right around the tress, hits left side of the green and rolls to 10 feet. Felt so good to picture a shot and execute it. Still 2-putted for par

Now THAT's golf!
So hard to hit multiple good shots in a row. God I love this game.

It's really what makes me keep going back. There is always a way you can improve. Just have to be able to focus for every single shot.
