My $.02 is that they have to have hard rules. I’m not a fan of bending the rules on the fly. The rules are the problem here though. Rahm was the me victim of a bad rule. They need to modify the rule to say if you test positive and you’re within the top 20 then special accommodations can be made to get your round in.
It’s ridiculous. These players are well removed from fans (6’ or further). There’s been a lot of waffling by the CDC on the ability to spread covid outdoors to begin with. Couple that with the real mortality rate and it’s pure crap.
Rahm is handling it like a man. Not surprised but he got the very short end of the stick on this one.

I would have liked to see the entire field for the event announce, if Rahm doesn’t play, we won’t either. Walk out and all sit down on the 18th green. TV and PGA would crap a brief and Rahm would be back in immediately.
