Eyes are getting older and I seem to do better with glasses for golf rather than contact lenses.
Do any of you have prescription sunglasses for golf? I know there are some sites like Sportsrx.com or Sporteyes.com. Just wondering how the bend/wrap works with focus and clarity. Have you had good results?

I wear my regular glasses out there to have a better chance of seeing where my slice ended up landing, but the sweat is a problem. Thinking of getting contacts myself.

I wear my normal progressives playing. I have a pair of Rx Ray-Bans but they're not progressive. Makes looking down at the ball look far away and blurry, so I have to wear my regular glasses to play.

No idea why I didn't get the progressive lenses on my sunglasses...

Probably a lot to do with being near-sighted or far-sighted too. I did not qualify that.
I do not have distance vision, but see fairly well close to me (2.25 strength). I’m borderline okay with no glasses at all at address, but then I will never see the ball when it leaves the club.
I play with my regular sunglasses now, but was curious about golf specific sun glasses. Thanks for your input.

I've worn prescription glasses to play for years. I've tried many brands like Oakley, Ray Ban, etc. Last year I bought a pair of progressive amber lens Reks, they were inexpensive and I have been completely satisfied with them. They came in pretty quickly and I was surprised at how well they did. Last time I got Oakley's I had to send them back to get the prescription right.

I wear these.

Unfortunately I left the yellow lenses at a course.

If you ever get contacts, give me a shout and I can send you a unused pair of Tifolsi sunglasses - never opened! Amber lenses, not the Enliven golf lenses. I found the golf lenses too dark for my taste.

I have been doing this for a long time. What works best for me is a pair of sunglasses with at least a little rake and transitions lenses with no progression. When I have tried progressives, which I wear in daily life, the ball ends up not being where my brain thinks it is. if I try frames with no rake, I lose the ball during the backswing. Currently using a pair of Tifosi Rivet for all my outdoor activities. .

I need glasses to see far away, especially in the evening time, it's getting harder to see the flag from over 100 yards away. I got my eyes checked and they said that I am a weak 20/20 and gave me a prescription for some glasses. It was for progressive glasses. I thought I didn't need the up close part because I can see close up just fine so I just got them for far away, well, everything close was blurry so I went back and got the progressive lenses so I could see the ball at address, I have to tilt my head up so I can see with the bottom part of me lenses and I don't like having to do that. I really only need them in the evening so if I'm playing during the day I don't wear them and if I'm playing in the evening, I only put them on for my approach shot, it's a pain in the butt. I also found that if I wear them regularly, when I take them off everything up close is now blurry whereas it wasn't before. I guess I'm training my eyes to need them to see up close and I really didn't want to have to wear them all the time. I guess I did good by not needing a pair till I was 52 so I can't really complain a whole lot but it is a pain in the butt and getting old sucks!

Sweating with contacts is worse.
