My across the street neighbor was on pellets, he was going to Gameday in Pensacola. He was feeling real bad so had bloodwork done by regular doc.

His test was 1700, Estrogen was sky high, and pellet site was infected. He's in rough shape. I recommended my doc for him. I hope he stays away from Gameday.

Did he do any follow up labs with Gameday prior to going to primary doctor? I believe they would've seen the sky high test numbers.

Agreed, I am currently going to GameDay (not in Pensacola) and they tested me after 5 weeks and we went through the numbers. I was not seeing any results so they increased me and then want to test me after another 3 weeks to see how the numbers are.

Maybe that Gameday did not test or they were loading him full of the wrong stuff.

I feel pretty good in the 40-55 range personally. I've had it at 60 and I've had it around 5, definitely felt worse around the 5 mark vs 60.

Yes, but it had been a couple of months.

I am on week 2 of a TRT program. so far I've given myself the shot in the same place (outer right thigh) both times...are you supposed to switch it up and administer at different places each time? I'm not worried about anything since it's only been twice but didn't know if there would be any issues doing it there literally every week forever.

It's recommended to switch locations to try and prevent scar tissue build up.

Alternate locations each time. Left thigh, right thigh and/or left glute, right glute, etc.

Ok, scrolled through some, I see numbers all over the place. Looking for some advice.

64 years old, had my testosterone checked today, it’s 333. I have some fatigue issues, libido loss, things like that.

I see people starting therapy with higher numbers than me, but technically I’m within normal limits.

Should I talk to my md about starting?

Anyone have info on some good online bloodwork sites? I’ve researched a lot, but of them require memberships. I just want one hormone test.

I’ve been feeling fine and workouts always go well. But I’m 36 and my last test was 329 total test, 6.9 free test. The VA said no because it’s in the normal range.

Labcorp at least does them, but you need a Dr.'s order. These are trivial to get online with doctors like this. His "sales" guy that I use talks way too much, but he's learned to accept that when I send a two sentence email, I don't want a 45m call in response. One of my friends in LA that has much more experience in gear was impressed with talking to the rep. If you (the dude you were responding to) want his contact info, let me know and I'll give you a Duckduckgo email address to get you his contact info.

Private MD Labs

Order whatever test you want and schedule an appointment at Labquest or quest.

In and out in 5 min

Just got tested and my doc said he goes mainly by symptoms. He’s had people test low that he never gave TRT because they don’t have problems. He’s also had people higher than mine that he gave TRT because of symptoms.

Mine tested at 450 total but I’ve had no more fatigue issues since starting Ayush labs Test support and boron 12 mg daily. Energy much improved and it got me back working out and I’m not drinking coffee all day, only one cup in am. He said my free test was good, likely due to the boron. I went ahead and just added Tongkat Ali to try to get total a little higher and see if it resolves the libido issues but he says that’s usually last to come back.

You only need Dr's order for insurance coverage.
Both labcorp and quest have pay yourself options that you can schedule online.

I posted above, 64 years old, total test 333, free test 5.7.
Going to see my primary MD next week, wanting some options so i can be sure we’re on the same page.
I’m guessing injectable is preferable to the cream? Any advice on dosage/once per week/ twice per week, etc?

Cream is trash, injectable 100%. As many small doses as you can stand is optimal. Keeps blood levels stable.

At your age and level you shouldn't have problems getting treated especially with symptoms. Some doctors refuse to treat it if in range though.

My pcp wouldn't treat me but referred me to his endocrinologist that he uses for his trt.

Some doctors are way behind in modern trt and do stupid shite like one big dose every two or three weeks. If you get one of those RUN.

Generally, you want to start with a lower dose ,check labs and adjust as needed.

I've found i can inject eod and actually use less testosterone than a weekly or bi weekly schedule and keep my levels in the same range. It also keeps my hematocrit and hemoglobin in range.

If you don’t mind me asking what dose are you using? You do every other day?

I'm 57 now was 55 when I started with total test at 320. Started at 100mg a week and that raised me to the mid 600s but around the fourth day I would start to crash. He raised it to 150mg per week and that put me in the high 700s. Then went to 200mg week split into 2 shots and that got me in the low 1000s but my hematocrit was high.

I now do 40mg every other day which comes out at 140mg a week but still keeps me in the low 1000s.

Keep in mind that this is 12 weeks to 6 months between dosage cahnges/labs.

There is no set dosage that works for everyone and it takes time to get it optimized to how your body will respond.
