You folks that don’t keep feeders out in the winter are missing out

I've been wanting to test this out. How often do you see a bird in the winter months?

I have some native flowers as well and a cat free back yard. 3-4 times a week - when I am home at prime time. seems to peak on colder days.

You don’t have problems with them freezing and bursting?

I had my first two Hummers of the year show up on Tuesday here in BR. They fed off and on most of the day, but I haven't seen them any more. Maybe the cooler weather ran them off for a while?

Last year we had a dozen or more most of the summer and fall.

Saw the first one today. Ran inside and prepped the feeder.
