We need to land him and Jordan Moko for sure, regardless of what Leigh decides to do.

If we were to bring in Makaneole, Moko, and Eric Wilson, that would still be a pretty good haul for O-Lineman for 2021, even if Leigh goes elsewhere.

2 of his mentions right now:

"if LSU is your new school, hope you’ve done your homework. Only 1 coach retained from last year "

"LSU is looking at the death penalty and may not be playing football next year. "

Most people are actually being nice to him tho. Good for FSU fans.

Not to shite on this kid but its a shame we are relegated to being excited about a player who is NOT SEC caliber because our staff's inability to recruit OL.

I wonder why, though. I'm no offensive line expert, but this guy looks really good. Big, fast, quick, nimble and powerful. What's he missing? I mean he's the size of a lineman but moves like a linebacker.

Would he have benefited from camps or more in person evaluation opportunities? Or is he just a 3 star guy and I don't know what I'm looking at when watching his highlights?

Under the best circumstances, offensive linemen are hard to project. Probably the hardest position to scout. This year, with no camps or even on-campus visits, it's even more so.

I'm not labeling anyone a sure-thing, or a bust -- especially this year.

Anyone just looking at a star-rating for a lineman is a fool, especially now.

Per the 247 guys, he is most likely going to get a ratings bump in their next cycle.

Sorry to be so blunt, but I wouldn’t let the idiots in this thread make you second-guess Kimo’s ability and potential. They stargazers posts are simultaneously Ludacris and annoying.

But I do love when they provide their superior intellect and observations with statements such as, “LSU Will never compete with Bama if they can’t recruit comparable guys in the trenches.”

I don’t know whether he gets a bump or not. His offer list, as lengthy as it is, says three stars. None of that really matters though; we need OL in this class and he’s a big one.

I know that is how it's done, but it's lazy research to rate players based on their offer list.

If you take offers into consideration, then the same schools will always get the highest rated recruits.

It's a self-fulfilling prophecy.

Either these people are scouts, or they are not.

I’m for sure not a scout and if the Rivals/247/ESPN guys truly were then they’d be working as such. They’re journalists.

That said, the big schools pass over guys every year that eventually become stars. I don’t know if Kimo becomes a star or not, I just want him in this class because we need him.

Already committed to the staff... As has Eric Wilson the Harvard OT. Still working on Moko the JUCO transfer, and small (and fading) shot at Leigh still

Great closure - 2 remaining spots? Who are the possibilities to complete the class? BTJr, Gilbert, Grad transfer?

I assume Leigh, Thomas, Gilbert, Moko (and/or another transfer lineman)

If Wilson and Kimo are in, I assume it’s Thomas or Gilbert and Leigh or Moko.

I don’t think he signed. He doesn’t even graduate until May.

He is very much SEC caliber. He’s much better than his star rating suggests.
