quote:It's amazing the difference in him before and after the injury. We all know about Sam's lisfranc but 50% of those go undiagnosed. If it was just a dislocated toe and didn't need any kind of surgery then hopefully in time he will get back to 100. Maybe he just had a sophomore slump because the Oline sucked.
IF he is healthy
Hope he comes back.

We really need another back to go alongside Berry. Like a proven guy. This is good and I think Durham actually fits well in Kiffin's scheme. My main gripe with this is he hasn't been healthy for 2 years so if they go with this move they still need another RB in my opinion. If I'm being honest, I was kinda hoping we'd hit a big name up somewhere else. Durham isn't bad I just have concerns with his constant injury plagued career here.

Frank going after Lindsey

I would get CD and then add a 220 pound bruiser if one is out there, go into the season with 4-5 backs. Injuries happen

Durham but he seemed to lack vision at times last year
There is no plan for when the OL is in the backfield with you, taking a handoff. Of course his vision looks “bad”. Watch something other than the ball.

It was a mix of Nuss not running (made the DL key in on a sitting duck QB or run)
The O-Line not blocking properly (having to hold up a consistent rush knowing our QB wasn’t going to take off is a hard task).
And Cadens previous injury. But honestly it’s all trickles down to not having a mobile qb in a RPO scheme.

Have always liked Durham but he seemed to lack vision at times last year. A new RB coach will help him develop.
An arguably more concerning thing is he didn’t have the same speed and burst. Not sure if it’s just lingering injuries, needs to trim some weight or what, but he wasn’t the same athlete as his freshman year.

Wish we could have gotten that Gulker Taysom Hill type. I agree we need someone like that.

Thought he was amazing in '24 season. Broke a ton of runs. This season he seemed to make bad, quick decisions on where to run which too often resulted in him getting stuffed for loss or 1-2 yd gain. Who knows. Maybe injury related. Berry was better at pausing a bit, looking for hole then blowing through it.

When healthy he’s good and more Thunder to go with Lightening.

Well the point in tuning into a football game is to watch the ball

Excellent news.
A known SEC quality runner.

He will have a coach that can actually teach him how to run….

Even with just watching the ball, you could see the O-line pushed back 5 yards, or defender waiting on the handoff instantly, leaving little to no time to react. Running lanes were nonexistent this season.

Y’all go ahead and start deleting your old posts about him now
I’ll say the same things I’ve said about him before. I don’t see the speed, explosiveness, or elusiveness that he had before that injury in the end zone last year.

Sure why not. Berry needs a backup
Posted on 1/10/26 at 11:13 am to Tank77
He definitely showed flashes of breakaway speed early on in his career. Hard to make any kind of judgement with the OL and coaching he had this year. I’d take him back

Killer combo too. On field at same time.
