It was a nagging injury but it wasn't like when Myles Brennan tore his abdominal and didn't want the surgery but was sidelined for the remainder of the season. Chambliss' injury was just a nagging injury but no one is saying what exactly that was, reading between the lines I'm guessing it was a grade 2 or 3 high ankle sprain but he didn't elect for surgery...but again that is a guess based upon the numerous articles I have read that called it a "nagging injury" that sidelined him but didn't require surgery but based on pain tolerance could have tried to play but risk making it worse.

You shouldn't always trust Wikipedia. If you go back to his recruiting year, it was 2021 according to 247Sports. He was redshirted by Ferris State during the 2021 season. Then as you said his RS FR season, he only played 2 games. But he has been in college 5 years...not 4 as you assumed.

I hit the FF on the remote when it comes to commercials whenever possible.. I did watch the recent TC commercial as was impressed with it. Really clever and entertaining. Of course ATT is a bait and switch company. They lull you in as a new customer then jack up the price soon afterwards. What really gets me is I have to watch inordinate number of commercials to get through a college football game. I am old enough to remember when TV was B&W and fumbles and TD's were not surgically dissected for five minutes. Games were much shorter back then. Kickoff returns were exciting. The on the field blocks and tackles were like a car wreck without air bags and seat belts.

Yeah, I'm not an ATT fan at all. I used to have Cricket (ATT's poor sibling brother) as my carrier but for several years I've been on MINT. I was just commenting that it was a clever commercial but I wouldn't switch to ATT because of the commercial.

From what I've read he played in two games hid freshman year.

They had redshirts, but only for players who didn’t participate in any games at all, which is what happened in his actual true freshman year in 2021. He only played in 2 games in 2022 as a REDSHIRT freshman. He wasn’t eligible for a redshirt that season in DI either without a waiver. Supposedly they are filing for a medical redshirt waiver, but I’ve not seen any details of that claim to know how strong or weak the case is.
