I always got the consensus that he knew people but I also feels like he kind of just reformulates the common consensus and keeps peoples spirits lifted by telling us what we want to hear with a little zest of lime sprinkled in.
At the end of the day, this is Louisiana and a lot of people love to talk sports, he seems like a good dude. That was the only reason I was joking around.
Truly even the coaches get surprised on a daily basis, these are teenagers with millions of dollars being showered upon them, plus they have constant attention, options, and thousands of opinions.
Its just a semi organized crap shoot.

It's pretty clear you don't know anything. I have to be honest if Longstreet is our QB1 that's pretty concerning. He has a huge ceiling but he's going to get ate up in year 1 of the SEC even with Lane coaching. He has 0 experience.

The payoff will be in year 2 not year 1. LSU needs a now guy not a developmental guy. This is a project guy. He throws a beautiful ball and he's extremely athletic with his legs. The little things...there's almost no way he's capable of doing them yet at with almost 0 experience. Like reading defenses. What I've seen on film he'll get killed with the way he runs too. He doesn't know how to protect himself.
With our schedule next year...transitional year at best with almost no shot at the playoffs if that's your QB1. But he'll probably fly in year 2 if he stays. You need experience with our schedule.

Sometimes the right answer is the obvious one. Williams makes himself available without agents knowledge WHILE Leavitt is with Lane. If LSU was involved, wouldnt this happen WHILE Lane has time to close a deal immediately? Then shortly after, Williams lawyers up with someone that teaches a NIL class at UofMiami, not the lawyer Lane referred Chambliss to. At the presser for the bowl game is when Cristobal had that soundbite about basically everyone is tampering and you are a fool if you think otherwise. Of course this wasnt an admission, but you know someone spewing that rhetoric, is doing it too.
Nobody has said anything anywhere that will make me think LSU was more involved than Miami with regards to Williams. Now that UofM is out Williams, they are pushing Leavitt hard.
