Also at LSUE is Andrew Clapinski, a catcher from Catholic High. We've been looking at him for a while and I think after a couple years in JUCO he could be an option for us. We always need catchers.

Clapinski is 13 for 25 (.520) in their first 2 series.

I think he’s a guy that slides in after Arrambide goes pro and we just have Serna and Belding left.

You think he waits 2 years?

For LSU I think he would

ETA: 2 years also means two years experience of being the primary catcher before coming in. More at bats, more pitch handling. Just overall more set up to hit the ground running.

Feel like a lot of it depends on Serna's development behind the plate as well.

Maybe they throw Serna at first next year to get him in the lineup if Arrambide keeps improving. In that case, maybe they bring him in after one year at Eunice.

Romero is a tank. An athletic tank. The state has some talent but he's probably the cream of the crop. And, a good kid, good family.

I guess David Hogg didn’t stick at Kansas. I just saw him on the roster for Grayson CC in Texas.

We will have some spots open up for Romero next year to compete for early playing time. I also wonder if they consider him on the mound. The arm is electric, and I believe he's really starting to learn how to pitch.

Walk on John Shahrdar is no longer showing on the roster. Nik McClaughry is no longer showing on the coaching staff.

Jay mentioned something last week about them not sure if they would be able to keep him on the roster or not.

Looks like Nippolt has the title he used to have.
