just a thought but, is it just me or does the portal really make baseball more fun to follow for us especially. LSU will always upgrade overall in the portal. im sure it sucks for fans of smaller schools though.

it doesn't get more exciting than bringing in big names during the week and playing in the tournament on the weekends

Because they is playing time available at the catcher position depending on what the 2 incoming freshman (Serna and Hodge) do

Agreed but a trustable backup catcher is almost a must have. Need someone to play midweeks and maybe even some weekend spot starts like Cade did this year. Allows your starter to not be dead come postseason

I just saw that the current roster is 34. So we may have more enter or just not be on the official roster. I am sure Guidry will be in Omaha but maybe not listed as a player since he can't play.

Teams going to Omaha for this College World Series are allowed to bring 27 active roster players

He'll be in the dugout. You're allowed a certain number of non-playing personnel in the dugout as well.

I think you are correct. At home 26/27 are active and 7/8 can dress. I think going to Omaha is different though. I think only the active guys can be in the dugout.

His defense was vastly improved from beginning of season to end of season.
Same for Hernandez. Didn’t you see that catch he made at the backstop? Even the announcers had given up on the ball being caught

Most people start watching in Hoover.

You stopped watching in April.

Meanwhile the smaller schools are sending teams to Omaha despite the disadvantage.

CJJ in his most recent PC said in 2023 there were 5 players not on the roster but were able to sit in the dugout. With the blow out developing into a sure thing, those 5 players ran down to the bullpen, where they had stashed their uniforms. They changed into them "so they could participate in the dogpile"...coach had a big smile & was laughing.

Can they use the pissers in the locker room? Reason I ask is because in 2023 I saw Shores in the pisser with the rest of us common folk. Thought that was strange

SLU's 2 main catchers from this season... Conner O'Neal & Bailyn Sorensen... were both seniors

So there's playing time to be had by Priester

This goes out to all of the so-called know-it-alls

Everyone seems to think Mic is transferring.

However, when I talked to him this morning before he boarded the bus for Omaha, he said he was NOT.
