VIRGINIA TECH OFFENSE VS VANDY 2024

Focus on 61 and there is a lot to like about his game. Powerful and really nimble for a center.

This is big. Hopefully no more pocket collapsing from rushers up the middle.

Yeah. He has outstanding feet for any level of football. Good on the two block. A couple meh plays but really consistent.

Posted this another post. Transfer commit Braelin Moore from Va Tech. OL 6'3" 303 lbs. 2 years eligibility remaining. Kelly and other coaches contacted Moore the day he entered the portal. He started all 24 games at Center for VT the past 2 years. Played mostly Center but has played OG too. He is an All American. He didn't allow a sack last year. He was part of OL that had 2,300 rushing in 2024 and 2,600 rushing in 2023. He played next to his brother who is Sr OG and graduating. Moore is a quality pickup and Day 1 starter.

As a former Olineman this was the must get to me. I thought everyone was unfair to the freshman center this year it’s really impossible to play in SEC with no prior experience like that. This is what probably killed our playoff effort.

In the bama game alone the key Nuss fumble was totally caused by the center messing up his assignment.

This pickup is a linchpin type of acquisition. He will allow the younger players we have to organically matriculate.

Our OLine recruiting has been the biggest strength since Kelly took over, and i think 2025 is where we start to see the dividends that we're overshadowed by having not 1 but 2 tackles starting for 3 years from their freshman seasons.

We've been having dudes, they were just blocked. I'm anxious to see whom out of Echols, Adam's, Davis, Chester, Curne and Thomas rises to the top.

Moore allows us to put these young guys in a position to compete to start. Adding a veteran tackle would be almost overpowered.

Personally I think we would be fine without a tackle, but the staff apparently is leaving nothing to chance. You've got to respect the hustle.

Chester was a RS Freshman starting in the sec. He was up against NFL talent every week and although he was overmatched, him being put in that spot means the coaches see something in him and are going to let him play through it. Having someone with a year of experience get a year to grow and develop and hopefully take over a guard spot is the the best case scenario for the oline going forward.

He wasn’t even All-ACC. Good enough to help us though.
