If we are being honest, the transfer portal pool was pretty shallow.
Leavitt was #1 with a HUGE injury flag.
Sorsby was #1A and well... what exactly has he won to really justify what he's getting paid?
Chambliss was never getting a 6th year
Demond Williams never even entered the portal, so he's not really a miss.
DJ Lagway - not interested
Mestemaker was never an option
Byrum Brown wasn't an option
If after all this we get Husan Longstreet, I'll be happy enough.
Leavitt was #1 with a HUGE injury flag.

I don’t know who is feeding him information. It is not a staff member. Only the coaches really know what’s what. And they don’t really have names written on a board its all ipad’s and laptops so no one is reading the information. We have guys that prepare our paperwork but they won’t jeopardize their job to give Scone “scoops”.

FWIW, more momentum on our side with Leavitt. As long as he clears medical, I think he's our guy. We're still shaking the tree on Simpson, though.

Scone probably does suck but this is some revisionist history. We kicked the tires and were at the very least interested in every single one of these. And signed zero of them. Call it what you want. It could still work out but hoping Kiffin can strike lightening with a no name twice in a row is wild work.

Can we put the Sorsby girlfriend story to bed, literally. He had a buyout just like Williams and when paid it counts toward next year’s cap. He became a lot less attractive with that in mind.

Lane's great.
But, Chambliss wasn't created by Kiffin. Kiffin lucked into (or at minimum found the diamond in the rough) Chambliss.
That doesn't mean Kiffin won't find a player and max him out. But, it just isn't as positive of a situation as you pretend. And, you can tell by looking at what Kiffin is doing and who he has tried to bring in.

Maybe "Scone" just doesn't have an idea or inside source of what Kiffin is working on.
We aren't getting shut out on a portal QB.
