Sometimes you need to make your own assumptions based on the information that is available to you.

My point is just because a player is “evaluated” at a certain amount does not mean they are worth it.

We just hired one of the best player developers in the country, let him work. He doesn’t need the avengers to win like shrimp boat did.

I’d prefer the cheaper player ready to be developed. Not the prima donna who wants a 3 million dollar pay day.

Last year of the top 25 or so highest paid players about 5-10 were “worth” the money.

Which side of the ball were most of the flops on? I think it’s pretty clear LSU had coaching and culture issues. Lumping them all into one category of “oh they got paid, so didn’t try” is dumb

You can virtue signal all you want and seek out guys “that want to be here” for less money but our competitors won’t. Is this an issue at OSU? UGA? etc.

I would agree on the culture and coaching issues. However all I am saying is just because you pay someone a bunch of money does not mean they will pan out. What’s hard to understand about that?

Again I point to the coach we just hired, not sure how many players he broke the bank for on his last OM roster but they seem to have done well with lower profile guys that were ready to be coached and developed.

Statistically they were very similar passers because ND had the 2 best RBs in the country
That doesn't matter at all when it comes to passing dude.

Chambliss averaged 9.1 ypa, Carr 9.4

Chambliss completed 66.7%, Carr 66.6%

Chambliss 19 TDs to 3 ints, Carr 24 TDs to 6 ints

Just to prove to you even more on the RB part (although it's not necessary)

ND 2 RBs 312 carries 29 TDs
Ole Miss RB 273 carries 21 TDs (Chambliss also added 8 rushing TDs)

ND QBs under Denbrock throw around 24-25 times per game. In 11 starts Chambliss averaged over 32 passes per game.

And Kewan Lacy wasn’t?

Gotta be honest, your arguing points are quite shitty so far.

Funny to make assumptions off of information that is not public knowledge

Agree.

Also think salaries should be public. At the very least the revenue pie portion. The universities, for the most part, are public, they lost a very public lawsuit and in the spirit of full disclosure, the public should be able to view whos getting what as it pertains to that pie. All sports.
The NIL numbers will always be "heresay" until some kind of bargaining deal.is done and compliance is more than just an idea.

personally, he's a GREAT player... but we have lots of needs, so getting a lower cost option that is also a great player in Marsh, would allow for a better overall roster, vs having so much invested at just one position....

it's going to a bidding war, and i'd rather go with Marsh and few other lower cost options out there, then concentrate on OL and the secondary, b/c losing Delane is going to hurt... Jackson doesn't instill much hope, IMO.. and Stamps is gone...

Asking transfer WRs to commit on “promise” of a QB not signed yet.

And vice versa asking WR to commit w/o a QB. It’s tough. One side is just gonna have to believe the other. I’d assume the players or their agents are actually talking to each other as well.
This $hit is crazy man.
