LSU fans would and did melt. The difference is after Saban left LSU fans developed a frick em attitude and wanted to beat him more than anything. We bought into every coach after with the desire to beat Alabama and win a NC. Ole miss knows they are going back to the lower tier of the SEC and realistically wont compete again for a long time. Thats why they are taking it so hard. They know its over. LSU knows its bigger than any one coach.

Of course they know it’s over. That’s why they’re acting like irrational children. It’s one thing to be angry about all of this. It’s another to be completely unhinged. Pete Golding admitted he did not want to be a head coach, it was basically forced upon him. His wife is from North Mississippi and doesn’t want to move anywhere else. Their program is about to go belly up in the next two years and I can’t wait to watch it and laugh.
