His film looks like he plays a lot of safety and lays the wood. We need bodies at DB.

Guys, you already have your top 3 corners

He started at safety for southern

He’s likely the 5th safety on the depth chart to start out

I don’t get the freaking out. Just a roster filler, if he gives anything extra it’s a bonus

Looks like he's from Madison Prep and spent part of his college career at Prairie View A&M.

You think we should just take dude bc they play for "big schools"

Often the absolute worst, program-killing transfers, are the ones with high pedigree who turned out to be lemons. They request a high NIL fee and also are tougher to coach usually.

Filling the team with questionable 5-Star transfers from a blue chip program who turn out to be actually bad (and paid $1-2m) is a great way to go 4-8

Right. I mean a kid like this is probably 100,000 or less which is a fraction of our budget. Worst case he's special teams and emergency depth. Best case he's a huge sleeper who gets playing time.

You do realize majority of the old HOF come from HBCU's.

Lane knows he’s allowed to recruit D1 players at LSU right? We’re not destitute like Ole Miss

This board knows they don’t always have to be a female pussy right? Saban said Lane was the best evaluator of talent he’s ever seen. Lane is not changing what he does. He evaluates and builds a roster in the mode of how the NFL does it. How about let him do his job and stop being pumped full of estrogen?

You know lots of small school players get drafted in the NFL?

You can have 105 on scholarship now, load up.

Well the RB at Missouri played for GRAMBLING. Also, last night there was a lineman starting for either Ole Miss or Miami that transferred from GRAMBLING also.

I’m starting to wonder. First a kid from McNeese and now this 5 mins later. I gotta be honest, I was expecting a lot more from LK. Color me disappointed

You think we're going to pay high six figures for a player that's barely going to play?

I think that is a good point. If you like your starters/2 deep, it makes sense to sign these type of players if you think they can contribute. Low cost and creates no friction with current players who may look to the portal if they think their spot is at risk.

Dude can play ST. and provide depth if there are injuries. And if he outplays the guys ahead of him on the depth chart, so be it. But signing him won't cause one of your current DBs to hit the portal.
