I may be wrong, but doesn't Miami have 2 top 10 draft pick tackles on roster. The RT is the one getting drafted right? The LT the giant one with 1 more year. So is he moving to RT. Or just not that good. My 9K mile view OT for Miami seems least of their worries.

Id be shocked if we get him at this point. We've lost all our momentum, he would have committed here if by now if this is where he wanted to be. Lane being in NO recruiting Royal and other high school kids today probably tells ya all ya need to know. Been a great class n exceeded expectations at most positions. All we can really ask for.

I’ll probably get downvoted for this but… pretty sure O himself has admitted at the end of the day he is a hired gun mercenary. At the end of the day it’s a business now, and he’s the most cut throat businessman out there when it comes to recruiting. You can like LSU on your personal time but work against them on the clock (IF this is true).

Why would you even post this? You know it's BS.

And it's from a nobody.

Holy grammar Batman! That was hard to read.

Orgeron was a coach while Cristobal played offensive tackle at Miami. Maybe they are close. Would he stab his old buddy Kiffin in the back?

If it was such a done deal, why hasn't he signed already.

Seaton is obviously in no rush and chasing more money. Maybe we're just in a "high will you go" situation.

As for the source, I seriously doubt that guy knows his arse from a hole in the ground or is an insider. This is probably something he saw on a YouTube video or heard on Miami sports talk radio. He appears to have the intelligence of a gerbil.

I could very well see this being true. Coach O is all about himself. He only “loved” LSU when he wanted/got the HC job.

Also remember: He is the one who pissed away his opportunity. Nobody but him to blame for his failure at LSU.

What would possibly make this guy think Miami has bigger "brand power" than LSU? Name one criteria.

There isn't one.

Whoever he is, he is implying Orgeron is working against us. Is O mad Kiffin didn't give him a job?

I’ve wondered about this. Ed was telling everyone who would listen Kiffin was giving him a job on staff at LSU.

Yea, I wouldn’t doubt this about O is true for various reasons but I doubt very seriously that he would be a diffrence maker in this decision. The longer this drags out the more you would have to believe that Seaton is making a business decision. Kiffin rolled out the red carpet and worked his arse off for Seaton. He will do the same as his coach to assure he is ready to play pro ball and part of that is playing in the SEC to showcase his talent. At this point you have to believe it’s a financial decision and I’m happy that the young man is doing a great job in his decision. If LSU can afford him great! If Lane decides he is too expensive fine by me or that he can pick up two workable OL instead, I’m great with that too. Mostly, I appreciate that our coach is working his arse off for these recruits and earning his pay unlike our last coach. If he finds kids that will work as hard as he does, man we should be good.

The fact that Maryland and Miss St are even in this conversation suggests his motivation isn’t purely financial, at least not in the short-term. He seems to be giving some sway to prior relationships with position coaches and head coaches that he feels have his interests at heart and can best prepare him for the NFL. That’s not to say money isn’t a factor or won’t ultimately be the deciding factor, but I don’t think his indecision is primarily about waiting for the biggest offer.

Besides Mensah who entered the portal late, Seaton is the only uncommitted top 100 portal player left. I'm all for being patient, but it is starting to get a bit ridiculous and makes me wonder how this guy is going to be in the locker room.

Sure, weigh your options and get the best deal, but "c'mon man!"

I would not be surprised to see Mensah and Seaton pop for Miami the same day so the Canes can make a splash.
