Without Durham, we would only have three on the roster right now, correct? Or am I forgetting someone?

Have to think you want 5 RBs on the roster, at least.

Would love to get a back built like Kaleb Jackson who plays like what we thought Jackson would be

No we won’t. Durham always gets hit and go flying. We need a back that can run over some people..not just tee off on. I can’t see 3 small backs getting us to the National Championship. All these other teams have big men running the ball. We don’t have that right now.

You don’t need a 230lb back to get tough yards. This isn’t 1997

You don't, but its nice to have guys with different skillsets in that group, and it doesn't hurt to have at least one bigger back

You can have someone with that skillset that isn’t 230 lbs. it’s more about body type then weight

Indeed. Need a big grizzly bear toting the rock. When we need 1 yard, it’s a 90% chance he gets it. Not 50/50

Linebacker

They need some speed here too for packages and standard depth.

Expect to see a bigger DB do a little cross training or position move like we saw with Chavis

Deuce Geralds is your JJ Pegues style short yardage back.

Still need at least 2 more OL that could be immediate starters.

More likely 3, but definitely need more for depth. When I looked at the depth chart a couple of days ago, there wasn’t 1 left tackle and only 3 total tackles.
You have to have at least 2 potential starters at each position to have a competition and in case of an injury.

Need Guards. And probably another tackle or two for depth

Easier to slide a tackle to guard. Before yesterday, we had a total of 2 tackles (scholarship and walk on). No left tackles. Other than Moore, I think they brought in a center, but not sure. Definitely have to have a competent backup there (see the Chester experiment).
